Sweet Basil Vinaigrette
Course:
Quick and easy! Excellent on greens, tomatoes, pasta salad, even grilled vegetables or meat!
Ingredients:
20 leaves fresh basil
1/2 small shallot, chopped
1/4 cup white wine vinegar or champagne vinegar
Juice from 1/2 lemon
2 Tablespoons honey
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
Directions:
Combine all of the ingredients except for the olive oil in a food processor and pulse until finely chopped. With the food processor running, add the olive oil in a steady stream and blend until smooth. Refrigerate until ready to use, up to three days.
Servings:
Makes about 1 cup
