Basic Sauteed Greens

Course: 
This is so easy and so good for making a quick green side dish to accompany any meal and get greens into your diet.
Ingredients: 
  • Dollop of oil
  • 3 cloves garlic or 1/4 cup onions leeks or scallions (or more if you like)
  • As much greens as you need (any greens really, mix them up if  you like! Great for chard, kale, collards, bok choi, komatsuma, tot soi...)
  • sprinkle of salt
Directions: 

Wash and chop the greens. Chop the garlic. Heat a pan with some oil and fry garlic/onion/scallion until translucent. Add greens and cook for a few minutes. Poor a little water on top and put lid on plan and cook, stirring once in a while until desired tenderness. Add more water if necessary.

Sprinkle with salt. A squeeze of lemon, a bit of balsamic or some soy sauce is also good.
