From our fields, for your family

Garlic is the international rock star of vegetables and is used pervasively across the world. Garlic is well loved but is a lot of work! Our garlic is grown from our very own garlic seed. Each garlic bulb is born from one garlic clove. Garlic is planted in the late fall and put to bed with a blanket of straw for the winter. We harvest scapes, the curly flower buds, in early summer and by the end of the July we are harvesting garlic. The garlic is hung to cure and by fall it is ready to eat.

Storage tips:

Store garlic in a cool, dark, dry place.  For more long term storage, garlic can be frozen either chopped or as whole cloves.

Cooking tips:
Garlic is versatile and makes everything taste better. The most important thing to remember when cooking garlic is to keep the heat low when frying so you don't burn it.
