Edamame is a soybean eaten fresh. They are a nutritional power house and contain all nine essential amino acids.

Storage tips: 

Edamame are best used in a couple of days. Remove them from the stem and store them in a plastic bag in the fridge. Edamame can also be frozen. Blanche them for 2-3 minutes, rinse with cold water and drain. Pack them into plastic bags, remove air and freeze.

Cooking tips: 
Steamed edamame make a great snack. Just boil them for about 10 minutes or until tender and salt. Serve them hot or cold. Eat them like peanuts. Kids love them! Edamame can also be shelled and added to dishes.
