Cooking Greens

We grow all sorts of fantastic cooking greens: chard, lacinato kale, red curly kale, green curly kale, red Russian kale, and collards. We grow them all year round except collards which the fall climate brings out the best of.

June, July, August, September, October, November
Storage tips:

Give them a good rinse when you bring them home. Its a good time to prep them for a week at this time too. Store them in an air tight container.

Cooking tips:
Chard is related to spinach and has similar qualities and can be used in place of spinach. All the kales taste pretty similar but have their own subtle qualities as well. I use them pretty interchangeably with each other. I am a champion of collards! I think people aren't very accustomed to these but you should give them a try if you haven't before. They really are delicious!
