From our fields, for your family

Ah...our old faithful friend cabbage. Cabbage is available in the spring and fall and can be stored well into the winter to give you some wintertime crunch to tie you over to the spring.

June, October, November
Storage tips:

Cabbage stores well if you put in a plastic bag and put it in your fridge. It can hold for a month or so. If you are storing it for the winter and have a nice cold spot that won't freeze, you can cover it with a blanket for storage. You can also try out making kraut to store it.

Cooking tips:
Cabbage is very versatile and great sauteed, raw in salads and slaws, in soups and stir-fries.
